The earlier editions may not comprise the ?retrenchment? but considering its importance, an additional chapter has been incorporated which will add to the utility of the book. In this revised edition, efforts have been made to add the latest case law without ignoring the value of the ratio of judgments in view of the requirement of the management of establishments particularly those who are managing people at work. It is hoped that this book will also be useful to the practising lawyers, judicial officers and managers to meet their responsibilities towards employees and for the maintenance of industrial peace and harmony.
